Found myself in Gainesville, Georgia once again. Living under the same trees and sleeping in the same tent. But this time around new people to make memories with.
If you haven’t seen on my Instagram or Facebook, I’m alumni team leading!! This means that I’ll be with this new generation of Gap Year World Racers during the first three months of their race. My role is to intentionally disciple a group of 4 girls. More specifically, help facilitate team times each night, be the point of communication for my team of girls, set a culture of biblical truth and empowerment, serve the squad in whatever way I can, and help facilitate squad activities.
I came to Georgia at the beginning of September for 10 days of leadership training. Then the racers came for 6 weeks of bootcamp here in Gainesville. On October 16th we’ll be heading to Louisiana to partner with Samaritans Purse as they continue to clean up the aftermath of hurricane Ida. Then in the beginning of November we will head off to Romania. I’ll be spending the first month there before I return home!
The Lord is so faithful in allowing me to step into this role! It was something that I had been dreaming with the Lord since the beginning of my race and He opened doors just when I thought it was too late. It has been so sweet so far! I am so encouraged by the women I lead. Their hearts for the Lord are fervent! it’s beautiful to see them grow closer to the Father daily.
